ABOUT THE JOURNALS

Scope

PEMSJ publishes high-quality research in all areas of Economics and Management Sciences and builds on the strength and prestige of the Journals of Economics and Journals of Management Sciences. PEMSJ consists of three Journals all publish by the Department of Economics and Management Science, Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil-Kano. The Journals include: POLAC International Journal of Economics and Management Science (PIJEMS); POLAC Economic Review (PER) and POLAC Management Review (PMR). The journals are providing a speeding platform for communicating research that meets high standards of scientific rigour and contributes to the development of knowledge in the areas of Economics and Management Sciences. All Economics, Management Science related research is in scope, including interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary studies. All types of results can be published, provided they contribute to advancing knowledge in their field, including negative results, null results and replication studies.

Article types

PEMSJ welcomes submissions of the following article types:

  • Original Research: articles of NOT greater than 18 pages that report new research.
  • Short Reports or Letters: short research articles that report new research. As a guide, letters should not generally be more than 8 journal pages (or around 4500 words) in length.
  • Review Articles: articles presenting a snapshot of recent progress in a particular field.

Peer Review

PEMSJ operates a double-blind peer review process, in which both the reviewers and the authors do not know their identities. If an article is not accepted for publication in PEMSJ, we may offer the author the opportunity to transfer their submission to other suitable journals for consideration. PEMSJ have a policy of "Zero Tolerance on the Plagiarism". PEMSJ checks plagiarism issue through two methods: reviewer check and plagiarism prevention tool.

Ethics

PEMSJ maintains the highest standards of publication and research ethics. Authors are expected to comply with PEMSJ ' policy.

Research data

Many research funders now require authors to make all data related to their research available in an online repository.

Open access

PEMSJ is a fully open access journals. Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution Licence. Articles are freely available to everyone to read and reuse immediately upon publication, provided attribution to the author is given. Publication is funded by article publication charges.
